Thank you so much for creating this tool, works like a charm! And thanks to the previous reviewer for posting the command. By the way, I didn't seem to have any trouble displaying compound forms. For English-speakers who, like me, weren't sure how the application worked, here's a quick tutorial: 1- Unpack the Zip archive 2- In the directory containing the 'ascii2unicode.exe' file, create a new empty *.txt file which will be used to contain the source code you need to convert into Tamil (e.g. 'source.txt') 3- In the same directory, create another empty *.txt file (e.g. 'target.txt') 4- Run your Command prompt, type the path to the correct directory, then type in the following command: ascii2unicode.exe source.txt -o target.txt 5- Your 'target.txt' (in this example), should now be populated with the converted text Note: In my case, Notepad++ dit not render the Tamil text properly. I had to open the 'target.txt' file with the regular Notepad. Thanks again :)
The software is very much useful. Mikka nantri. I used the following command to convert my TSC file sourcefile.txt to unicode file outputfile.txt: ascii2unicode.exe sourcefile.txt -o outputfile.txt This works like a charm. The only problem I face is: ரி is not displaying correctly. It is displaying as follows. Please fix it for me.
